As the final show of their 40th Anniversary Season, and as homage to their many years of Shakespeare at the Ruins, Four County Players is proud to present SHAKESPEARE AT THE PLAYERS: THE TAMING OF THE SHREW.

One of the Bard’s most beloved comedies, The Taming of the Shew has seen many incarnations and interpretations over the years: the classic Cole Porter musical, Kiss Me Kate (first produced in 1948) and the 1999 movie 10 Things I Hate About You (starring Julia Stiles and a very young Heath Ledger) to just name a couple. This Four County Players interpretation is using beautiful, classic Shakespearean costumes (collected from many, many years of performing Shakespeare at the historic Barboursville Ruins!), but make no mistake: this hilarious romp is as sharp, fresh, and fun as any version audiences have ever seen!
