The Mainstage at Four County Players

 

The Mainstage serves as Four County Players’ primary performance venue. The auditorium of the Barboursville Community Center (formerly Barboursville High School) provides audiences with a traditional proscenium theater experience. From the velvet curtains and wood floors to the cozy atmosphere and smell of freshly-popped popcorn, the Mainstage transports audiences to a special time and a nostalgic place.

Four County Players presents between four and five Mainstage productions each season, including at least one musical, a straight play, and a family holiday show. The Mainstage also plays host to special events, concerts, benefits, and musical revues. From Sondheim to Shakespeare, the Mainstage stages work for all ages and interests.

Mainstage productions are reserved seating unless otherwise noted. The auditorium seats audience members comfortably and offers handicap-accessible space for guests needing special accommodations. From comfortable aisle seats to a front row that plunges you into the action, there are truly no bad seats. The house opens thirty minutes prior to each performance.

The Four County Players Bistro is open prior to each performance and during intermission. Audience members can purchase snacks and beverages, including local craft beers and wine from nearby Barboursville Vineyard. Proceeds benefit the Four County Players Scholarship Fund.

If you would like to take part in our Take a Seat Campaign, and name a seat in honor of a friend or loved one, please contact Edward Warwick White. All Mainstage seats are $100.00 and include an engraved plaque with your dedication on the back of your seat. Payments by cash, check, and credit card are accepted.

Before purchasing tickets to a Mainstage production, please review our seating chart to identify your seating preference. Please note: Preferred seating for Mainstage productions is included for Season Subscribers.

Mainstage Ticket Prices (unless otherwise noted):

  • Adult: $20
  • Senior Citizen/Student: $18
  • Children (12 & Under): $16
  • All Friday performance are $10

*All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be given unless Four County Players cancels a performance. Exchanges can be made up to 48 hours before a performance, but ticket availability for alternate dates cannot be guaranteed.
