Four County Players Build a Backstage Campaign

Build a Backstage is our plan to add a 1,925-square-foot addition to the rear of the theater, providing workspace, storage space, and a weatherproof environment for actors and builders.

We have engaged Building Goodness Foundation (BGF) at the recommendation of The Perry Foundation. BGF is a nonprofit construction organization that connects skilled volunteers from the design and construction industries with high-impact nonprofit organizations in need of new or renovated space. We are excited to join with BGF as a key partner in the success of this project.

We believe we are on track to break ground in Summer 2018. To get “shovel ready,” though, we have to continue working towards our fundraising goals. Last year, we shared with you that the Perry Foundation awarded us a challenge grant of $50,000. The foundation has pledged to complete their generous donation provided Four County Players has independently raised $90,000 by the December 1, 2017, deadline.

Once we meet the Perry challenge and add that total to other gifts accumulated so far, we will be 75% of the way to the project cost, estimated at $200,000. At that point, the Board of Directors can begin to make specific plans for the construction phase.

Every dollar donated is one step toward the goal of building a backstage for Four County Players.
