Four County Players Board of Directors
Barbara moved in 2013 to Orange from Staunton, where she was involved in community theater productions both on stage and behind the scenes doing costuming, props, choreography, and hair and make-up. She was a late bloomer to the stage but her first Nutcracker performance as a “Party Lady” in 1997, hooked her – and the “stage was set.” She became involved with 4CP soon after moving to Orange and was most recently seen in the Fall 2015 performance of Macbeth.
She has worn many hats in her professional career – including working in the Development and Education Departments of the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and in Administration with the Historic Staunton Foundation. She also co-owned and operated a print shop in Harrisonburg, and did typesetting and layout for a small publishing firm. In Staunton, she also was active serving in many capacities on the non-profit boards of the Shenandoah Civic Dance Company and the Valley Symphonic Concerts. She joined the 4CP Board in June 2015 and is employed in the Education Department of James Madison’s Montpelier.
